Joining a band should be fun and easy, and we're here to make that so. Whether it's performing live, collaborating on tracks from your bedroom, or cowriting original songs, we'll make sure you get the band experience that you're looking for. We cover ALL (non-religious) genres of music, welcome players all instruments, and we're (mostly) amateurs here, so don't be shy!

Do you want to perform cover songs on stage for a live audience?

Each season we assemble a new band to perform a set of fun songs. We get creative with unique instrumentation and interpretation of existing songs. At the end of the season, after we've learned and rehearsed our set, we perform the set at the seasonal Sunday Assembly Atlanta potluck.

Do you want to record tracks from home?

Our virtual band meets on Zoom every month. We get creative with unique instrumentation and interpretation of existing songs. After tracks are recorded, we add mixing, mastering, and video editing to create something we can be excited about posting online.

Do you want to collaborate on original material?

Our songwriters band meets monthly for brainstorming, feedback, and to have fun. There's no obligation to finish a song. Our goal is to facilitate creative expression, and if that results in an original SAA song, great! What matters is we have a good time. If you do want to perform though, at the end of each season we welcome the band to perform at Red Light Cafe.
